This coming July 4th marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence and many local and national organizations are offering programs and opportunities to celebrate. Thus, the League of Women Voters of Hancock County will be offering an essay contest open to all 11th and 12th graders who live within Hancock County regardless of when or how they attend school. The contest will open for submissions November 22, 2025. A entry form with contest rules and guidelines will be available later.
